The cartilage of the septum actually does not grow back after septoplasty. As long as adequate amount of cartilage was left during the procedure to provide support to our nose (prevent collapse), there should be no concern about the missing cartilage from the septum.
I would say someone looking at you would think you have a very nice result. If you are unhappy with the appearance however, lowering of your nasal tip in order to show less nostril is a possibility. You may require lateral crural strut grafting and re positioning if you would like to increase your nasal projection (how far your nose sticks out) and decrease your tip rotation (bringing the tip downward slightly in order to decrease nostril show)
2.5 months is till within the healing time of surgery, typically the nose decreases in size as swelling goes down. Posting before and after would be helpful to give you a more accurate answer.
