I have a StarWalker and had used Pico before. With StarWalker you get the best of 2 worlds, the power of picosecond pulses traveling together in a nanosecond pulse. So is like a train of high peak power super fast pulses, traveling all together arriving at the same time (counted in nanosecond), in fact almost 5 peak of pico in 1 of those nanosecond pulse. Both benefits, one single treatment, one single equipment, safe, efficient and less expensive than the pico. As the StarWalker can be fractional ablative, can help reduce also the number of session for example tattoos removal. Another advantage of this. I will highly recommend this equipment. But remember is not the laser or the pulse duration y the needy choose for each treatment on the right hands. So effectiveness depends on the laser expert that will treat you.
If you haven’t the lines after any treatment will go back right away. You can help your skin with several treatments, my experience on this are with laser ablation and definitely soften and make less visible the deep lines, but if you continue the smoking, that movement on the lips, will break dermis again and the bar code (deep lines) in the lips will come back, please take this advice before getting any treatment.
I recommend on my experience to treat scars on the skin type that you have to be done by ablative fractional laser, both CO2 or Erbium. Full Ablative is not the recommended even on conservative setting. You should look for experts on the skin to be treated more than the setting or wavelength.
