Thank you for your question and your photo. Based on your photo it looks like you either have some scabs, dried blood or a small amount of skin turning black. I don't see any sutures but it could just be the photo. None of these are particularly worrisome and will resolve with time. It is best that you see your surgeon in person so that you can be examined to determine exactly what is going on. Keep an eye out for any redness, swelling or increasing pain and let your surgeon know if you develop any of these symptoms. Good luck!
Thanks for your question. The tape is usually removed after a few days or a couple weeks depending on your surgeon's preferences. I would encourage you to touch base with your surgeon and ask. Personally I leave tape or steristrips on until they fall off which is usually about a week or so. Good luck!
Thank you for your question. A tummy tuck or abdminoplasty has the best results when you are close to your desired weight. You surgeon will be able to better predict what you final outcome will be is you are near your weight loss goal. As you mentioned, the procedure can help you lose additional weight after surgery by "kick starting" you. However if you lose additional weight you may have additional skin that you may want removed. Also, additional weight loss reduces complications such as delayed wound healing or infections, etc. Hope this helps and good luck
