Thank you for your question. Married or unmarried, LASIK is a wonderful procedure to reduce or eliminate your need for glasses for distance vision. You mentioned your prescription but it is not clear whether you are nearsighted or farsighted. A qualified LASIK surgeon could assess your prescription and do further testing of your eyes to adequately advise you of your candidacy for the LASIK procedure. I strongly encourage you to seek out an experienced Laser Vision specialist in your area to assess your eyes and counsel you on what you could expect.
Thanks for your question. You might be a candidate for LASIK but there's a lot more involved in the assessment than just your prescription. A Laser surgeon would do mapping of the cornea and thickness measurements to determine if you have any underlying conditions that may preclude you from having the procedure. A full eye exam would be completed to rule out any other pathology. A qualified Laser Vision Surgeon would do all the necessary pre testing and eye examination to adequately determine your candidacy and counsel you regarding expectations for your level of prescription. That person would also guide you to the ideal surgical option for you. Good luck to you!
Enhancements after LASIK are done for significant refractive errors. a refractive error of -0.25 is not considered significant most of the time unless there are significant "higher order aberrations" associated with it. Your surgeon is the only one who should determine if it would be appropriate and more importantly, SAFE to go back and do additional laser work on your eyes. The timing of enhancements is also important because if you are in your immediate post operative period, your eyes may still be in the healing phase. Thanks for the question.
