Mr Alastair Fry, Consultant Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon, curreny works within the Guy’s and St Thomas’s NHS Trust. He also sees patients privately at several London-based clinics including the Basinghall Clinic, Harley Street and The Cromwell Hospital. He has extensive experience in performing surgery on the head, neck, jaw, and salivary glands and also performs reconstruction wisdom tooth surgery and the insertion of implants. He is also highly specialised in the treatment and diagnosis of mouth cancers, his overarching goal is to ensure minimal side-effects and a speedy post-operative recovery.

Mr Fry began his medical education at Newcastle University, qualifying as a doctor in 2008. He is also dually qualified as a dentist, gaining his qualification from Sheffield university in 2003. After his graduation, he undertook several fellowships where he researched a wide range of topics like early mechanisms of invasion in mouth cancers, oral and maxillofacial surgery, plastic surgery, and ENT Surgery for the Royal College of Surgeons. Within his NHS Trust, he has been chair of the Guy’s Head and Neck Cancer MDT and now Clinical Lead for Head and Neck Surgery

Mr Fry’s outstanding work has won him several prizes. He is also an active researcher with numerous publications in peer-reviewed journals.
